As well as our extensive range of outdoor safety, skills and survival courses we also regularly work as consultants for clients across the UK and around the world.
The list below represents the services we conduct regularly on behalf of our clients, but if you have a request that is outside of those listed below please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Critical Equipment Review
A key component of all of our outdoor skills and safety training involves the use of PPE and mission-critical equipment.
We offer a review and report on relevant equipment used by the client and make recommendations based on our experience and work with key manufacturers in the outdoor industry.
This review includes clothing, footwear, sleep systems, cooking and kitchen equipment, water purification and filtration, shelters, electronics and lighting, communications and emergency medical and survival equipment.
This service is free of charge if conducted alongside training with the client.
Location Scouting and Safety
Our work has taken us into the wild and hidden places in Snowdonia, the Lake District and Scotland for more than a decade. We combine this knowledge with our experience in the fields of outdoor safety to help productions large and small make the most of our stunning landscapes.
In the past 2 years we have worked on several international advertising campaigns, television series and feature films and pre-production recces for ongoing projects in all media formats.
We have built relationships with landowners, land management agencies and key local contacts for these productions and work with outdoor safety specialists, rigging teams and logistics providers across the U.K.
Stress Testing and Operational Readiness
Building on our experience working with the emergency services, military and companies working in remote areas we offer the service of testing the emergency plans that they have put in place.
There is a military aphorism that goes along the lines of "no plan survives first contact with the enemy". This is true of any untested plan, and it's not until you try it out in the real world that you discover some potential problems with your safety plans and risk mitigation strategies.
This may be in the form of a full exercise, a rotation of scenarios or even just a tabletop rundown of likely scenarios that could affect the Normal Operation Plans (NOPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).
This is often conducted in conjunction with training delivery - for example, delivering a L1 Remote and Lone Working course to a client then running through a series of likely emergency scenarios over the next day or two.
