Instructor Training

The EST Framework

Structured Outdoor Skills Training

We developed the Environmental Survival Training (EST) Framework to continue the work we were doing with outdoor professionals and provide a structured training pathway for our clients.

We continue to develop these courses and training streams to meet the needs of our clients, and can deliver flexible training solutions to respond to the challenges our clients face.

Experienced Instructors

The training you receive is only as good as the trainer, and if your trainer has a limited view then the skills you develop will also, in turn, be limited.

Our team of instructors and trainers come from a diverse range of background - expedition leaders, education professionals, SAR and mountain rescue teams, emergency services, military and security contractors.

Training for Instructors

From the very start we wanted to offer a training progression that continued onwards beyond the end user and into training outdoor professional trainers themselves.

The Environmental Survival Training (EST) Framwework courses are split into levels, with Levels 1-3 being for the end user and the upper levels for instructor training and development.

The courses can be delivered as a generic training course within that subject stream, or tailored to meet the needs of an individual client.

Public EST Framework Instructor Training courses will be offered from early 2019.
